FAQ

Are the dice I sell balanced?

This is one of the questions I get asked the most. Hardcore players really care about their dice being well balanced, so that rolls are actually random.

I have some news for you: only casino dice are truly balanced. Every other die (yes, even Chessex dice and the ones from the biggest brands) has a slight imbalance that is, however, perfectly acceptable at D&D, Pathfinder, and similar gaming tables.

My dice fall into this category. The same goes for most dice with inserts, but if you have any doubts, don’t hesitate to contact me privately on IG or by email at aliesel.wonderland@gmail.com

Are there any precautions I should follow when storing and using items purchased from Aliesel Wondershop?

When it comes to epoxy resin items (dice, bookmarks, skulls, etc.), the first and absolute rule is: keep them away from direct sunlight.

Resin is a wonderful material, but it is very sensitive to UV rays, and exposing dice or other items to daylight — especially strong sunlight for long periods of time — can damage them or cause them to fade.

For items made with PLA, the same rule applies, although they do have a slightly higher tolerance.

Do you make custom orders?

Generally speaking, yes — but it depends on the item, the time of year, and, honestly, my personal schedule.

Most of the time, I can create custom dice sets or a custom D20 chonk, although it depends on how complex the request is.

Don’t be shy! Send me a message on IG or by email with your ideas and let’s see what we can create together!

I found a dice set I really love, but it’s sold out in the shop. Will it be restocked?

That’s a good question. It really depends... on my imagination.

I know it sounds weird, but since everything I create comes from my own ideas, sometimes I make a set and then I either don’t feel like recreating it, or I simply don’t think about making it again because — well — I already made it and I want to move on to new projects.

Or maybe I’ve simply run out of the materials I used for that specific set, so I can’t recreate it.

But once again: feel free to message me privately! Maybe I can easily make that same set again just for you!

A friend and I bought two identical dice sets, but we noticed some differences, like designs being placed differently, different colour shades, etc. Why?

This is completely normal.

Never forget that all my dice are handmade, meaning every single one is a unique piece.

Even when I create two identical sets, they can never be perfectly the same — that’s simply part of their handmade nature.

This way, every single die will be truly and exclusively yours ;)

I bought a resin bookmark, but now that it’s summer it has softened and bent. I want a refund!

Don’t panic, my little oysters.

As mentioned before, epoxy resin is very sensitive to heat and, especially during summer, it really struggles with high temperatures (probably more than we do — at least we can jump into a pool!).

If you notice that your bookmark has softened, simply place it inside a book (or under a weight, on a flat surface) and, once it cools down, it will become straight and rigid again, just like before.

If you notice that the bookmark has hardened again but stayed bent, just warm it up slightly — for example with a hair dryer — and place it between the pages of a book to help it return to its original shape.

And, as always, if you have any doubts, issues, or questions, just send me a private message: I’m always here to help!

My dice set just arrived and I love it, but there are some imperfections. Why?

Never forget that I’m a human being, not a machine.

Every single die I create passes through my hands countless times: from making the mold, to creating the design, pouring the resin, polishing, and painting the numbers.

All these steps (which are truly endless and incredibly complex, and are part of what justifies the price of handmade dice) are not automated in any way. Because of that, it’s completely normal that something small might escape my attention, or that something might simply not be 100% perfect.

I always do my absolute best and I carefully check the quality of every single product before it reaches you, but — again — I’m not a machine, and human error can happen.

That said, the tiny imperfections you may notice are not only what makes these pieces truly handmade, but also what makes them completely unique.

However, if you believe that one of the products you received is damaged or does not meet the quality standards I aim to provide, please don’t hesitate to contact me at aliesel.wonderland@gmail.com. Send me detailed photos of the issue and your order number, and I’ll do my best to solve the problem.
